SOM Coordinator – Supply Chain & Customs Operations
We usually respond within a week
Your role
As SOM Coordinator, you are a key player within our Supply Chain & Operations team. You combine operational supervision of daily inbound and outbound flows with an active role as back-up customs declarant — a unique combination for those looking to broaden their logistics experience with customs expertise, or vice versa.
You work closely with a dedicated SOM colleague and act as her back-up during leave periods. Alongside day-to-day operations, you contribute to SOM projects: process optimisations, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What will you do?
You supervise the operational flow within the SOM department: daily coordination, follow-up, and quality control of goods movements.
You monitor the full inbound process — from order processing and transport coordination to final delivery at the warehouse — and proactively resolve logistical challenges.
You ensure accurate, complete, and up-to-date administrative processing of order data in our systems (ERP, WMS, customs software).
You act as back-up customs declarant for approximately 6 weeks per year: handling customs declarations and ensuring compliance with customs and excise procedures.
You contribute to the development and follow-up of SOM projects.
You maintain clear and proactive communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal colleagues across ODC.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with a strong combination of hands-on logistics experience and affinity with customs procedures. Ideally someone ready to step from a declarant role into a broader logistics function — or looking to enrich an operational background with customs expertise.
At least 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain environment.
Basic knowledge of customs and excise procedures; extensive knowledge or experience as a customs declarant is a clear advantage.
Comfortable working with ERP, WMS, and/or customs software.
Accurate, detail-oriented, and quality-conscious.
Proactive and solution-driven, even when things do not go as planned.
Both independent and a genuine team player — you take ownership and collaborate constructively.
Cost-aware and business-minded.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
Bachelor's level thinking, preferably with a logistics-oriented background.
What do we offer?
A key role within a growing international company active in travel retail and logistics.
A varied position with real operational responsibility and room to think along on projects.
The opportunity to further develop your customs and logistics expertise in a dynamic environment.
A flat organisational structure with fast decision-making and direct collaboration with management.
International contacts and a diverse range of tasks.
As you grow, the potential to take on expanded responsibilities — including a possible supervisory role for candidates with the right experience.
A competitive compensation package in line with your profile and experience, complemented by a range of employee benefits.
