Medior Digital Solutions Engineer

As a Medior Digital Solutions Engineer you will take the lead in business analysis, system integrations, data architecture and digital innovation. Acting as the bridge between business and IT, you will translate complex requirements into smart, scalable solutions and coordinate projects from inception through delivery. You will collaborate daily with Sales, Purchase, Logistics, Finance, HR, Communications and Supply & Operations Management.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

• Capture business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications

• Analyse and optimise processes applying a Lean mindset and BPMN methodology

• Align workflows and procedures across departments to ensure consistency and efficiency

• Challenge developers from a quality and business-value perspective

Data & Reporting

• Design, build and continuously improve Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions

• Develop advanced DAX measures, robust data models and enterprise KPI frameworks

• Analyse trends and anomalies and translate them into strategic, actionable recommendations

Data Engineering

• Develop and maintain Python scripts, ETL flows and production-grade data pipelines

• Ensure data quality through systematic validation, monitoring and logging

• Partner with data engineers on Fabric, data warehouse design and dataset governance

IT Systems & Integrations

• Work with Business Central, WMS, TMS, Slim4, integrations and APIs

• Define test strategies, execute User Acceptance Testing and validate solutions functionally

• Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation

AI & Digital Innovation

• Deploy AI agents to accelerate documentation, analysis, test case generation and scripting

• Drive AI-powered automation initiatives and data-assisted decision-making

• Build and evaluate proof-of-concepts leveraging emerging AI technologies

Project Coordination

• Lead and coordinate internal IT and digitalisation projects

• Manage planning, priorities, risk and project documentation

• Act as the central liaison between business users, IT, external developers and operations

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, Data Science, Economics or a related field

• A minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Data, IT or Engineering

• Strong proficiency in Power BI (including DAX), Excel and SQL

• Hands-on experience with Python, ETL processes and/or API integrations

• Demonstrated affinity with AI tooling and digital transformation initiatives

• Analytical, proactive and self-directed with a strong solution-oriented approach

• An effective communicator who engages stakeholders at all organisational levels

• Fluent in Dutch and English
